World’s Most Beautiful Abandoned Places

Italian product manager and web designer Francesco Mugnai recently added a collection of images to his blog touting some of the most beautiful images of abandoned spots and modern ruins that he’d ever seen. The images Mugnai has captured come from empty castles, shuttered power plants, and dilapidated churches around the world. From a sunken yacht in Antarctica to a forever-closed amusement park in Japan, these images all make up a sort of anti-phoenix; rather than rising as new from the ashes, these husks remain preserved in decomposition, forcing viewers to confront the strange beauty of ruination.

Day 30 your reflection in the mirror

Dear Erik Suh,

this is the last post. finally done.

today was a good day. i got a 50/50 on my chem quiz and idk.

now im not in a good mood. im kind of tired and whatever. and my laundry hasnt been done in over a week so im kinda upset about ahtt as well.

goodnews: i guess i moved on. and i appreciate more things than i use to. the two friends here i ahve are the best firends ill have.i dont go to a real college so i odnt experience all the clubs and other people do. chances are i will never experience many things, but i value the experiences i have made here. not great but better than nothing.

there are times where i wish i did go to a big college, a “real” college. but i love it here.

ironic, in the beginning i hated being here. i wanted to be in highschool all over again. but i guess over time i have adjusted to this place that i call home. now i dont want highschool. i dont want taht one person. i can see that my life is more than that. dam man… id dont even know what im writing im so tired….

Day 28 someone that changed your life

dear jenny lin,

i guess i give you lots of thanks. i wonder how i woudl have tuned out without you. probably worse, but idk! ahah coming to this school and experiencing so many changes in environment as well as our relationship, i have been given a broader perspective of relationships in general. i hope things are going swell for you, as it is starting to for me.thank you

and thanks for understanding the “break” thing. means a lot, and is helping loads.
